- EBV -

CEBU, Philippines - Anthony Cortes and Arnel Notarte tamed their respective foes in contrasting fashion to advance into Final 16 knockout stage of the 2nd Jancor Post Sinulog 9-Ball Tournament at the 138 Mall Billiards Center along Colon Street, this city.

Cortes had little trouble in booting out Nonoy Laquio, 5-1, while Notarte went through some scary moments before pulling off a 5-4 squeaker over Andres Abay.
