CEBU, Philippines - It’s all systems go for the Mayor Junnie Martinez Cup Open Chess Tournament this weekend in Bogo City.
The tournament will follow a 9-round Swiss system format.
The champion will receive P5,000, while the second and third placers will get P3,000 and P1,000, respectively. The rest of the top 10 finishers will pocket P300 each.
Special prizes will be given away to the top players from the Fourth District. The champion will take home P2,000, while the second and third will earn P1,000 and P500. Those who will make it to the top 10 will get P200.
