Sallydine Siso leads winners in Prince 03 netfest

Sallydine Siso of the famed Siso siblings emerged from the shadows of his brother and sister to win a championship trophy in the Prince 03 Tennis Cup at the Mactan Island Tennis Club in Lapu-Lapu City.

Sallydine, the eldest among the three Sisos who usually ends up with a runner-up trophy, made a mark this time as she bagged the title in the girls 14-under division, beating Maria Dovieven Loreto, 8-0.

Her brother, Nino failed to advance to the final round of the boys 21-under division after losing his battle against Larry Antigua, 8-4.

Antigua eventually took the championship title via an 8-4 win over Ryan Repunte, who earned a ticket to the semifinals against Kennex Abadia.

In the distaff side, Jin Querubin of USJ-R posted an 8-3 victory over Kristel Mae Buenacosa.

On the other hand, an all-Cabahug finals ensued in the boys 14-under division with Christian Paul prevailing over Christian John, 8-6.

In the 16-under class, Lowell Cañete grabbed the top honors over University of the Visayas' Cyril Camporedondo, 8-3.

Lovelie Soquino, for her part, also won with ease the girls 12-under title after defeating Sheena Pavo, 8-2.

In the 12-under class, Junnel Abellanosa pulled an 8-7 win against Bran Mangapis while the distaff side saw visiting netter Kezha Adelyn Jabinez of Baybay, Leyte leaving behind Hannah Grace Espinosa, 8-2, as John Necesario earned an 8-0 triumph against Van Abestado to rule the unisex-10 class.
