Drug bust nets 3 in Basak San Nicolas
CEBU, Philippines — Three men fell into the hands of authorities during a buy-bust operation in an alleged drug den in Brgy. Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City the other night.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-7 identified them as Alvin Z. Flores, 40; Angelo Bulao, 21, unemployed; and Permolio A. Haincadto, 39. Flores was allegedly the owner of the structure while Bulao and Haincadto were "visitors".
The operation by the PDEA-7 Regional Special Enforcement Team and Cebu City Police Office Station 11 personnel at 10:32 p.m last Friday came following a two-month surveillance.
It was learned that Flores, who tasted jail last year for hitting his mother on the head, can allegedly dispose off 20 to 30 grams of shabu per week.
Authorities said Flores yielded four packs of suspected shabu weighing 12 grams, which has an estimated street value of P81,600; the buy-bust money; and various drug-sniffing paraphernalia.
Charges for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12, of Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Law) would be filed against the three men. — (FREEMAN)
