Photo of possible witness in Tocmo’s killing released

CEBU, Philippines — The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) showed to the media a photo of a man who could possibly help in the investigation into the death of Rea Mae Tocmo.

The CCPO is also calling on the public to help provide information on the man in the picture and approach the investigation section of the CCPO and the Labangon Police Station 10 led by Major Angelito Valleser.

According to Police Lt. Col. Janette Rafter, deputy director for operations of the CCPO, they can also contact the hotline number of Labangon Police Station 10 which is 0998-598-6292.

Rafter requested the cooperation of the people so that they can get information about the man who can be seen in the picture wearing a red or orange shirt and black jogger pants.

Rafter explained that they are looking for the man who might provide information of the case of Tocmo, the 19-year-old woman who was killed and stuffed in a cardboard box and then thrown on the side of the road in Sitio Mohon 1, Barangay Tisa, Cebu City.

“Og naminaw siya ug nakakita siya niining among panawagan siya mismo pwede moanhi diri sa among opisina, diri sa akong opisina o sa opisina ni Police Major Valleser kay sumala basin naa siya’y possibleng mahatag nga impormasyon,” said Rafter.

The police also assured that even though Tocmo has been buried, their investigation will continue and they will not stop until justice for the victim is served.

“Padayon gyud ang ilang paningkamot actually inig human ani molakaw na pud ni siya ako lang gihangyo nga mouban kanato but after ani molakaw na pud sila but as I’ve mentioned although sila ang nanguna ani nga imbestigasyon anaa gyud ang tibuok Cebu City Police Office magtabang kanila,” said Rafter. — (FREEMAN)
