CEBU, Philippines —  The active COVID-19 cases in Cebu City ware down to 617 last Thursday, according to the Department of Health (DOH)-7 data.

In its official Facebook page, 11 new cases were recorded in the city, bringing the total cases to 9,566. The total number of recoveries is at 8,302, after recording 12 additional recoveries.

Six new deaths were recorded putting the total deaths to 647.

The cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu have 342 and 302 active cases, respectively.

Mandaue City has 2,205 total number of cases, as 14 new cases were recorded. There are five new recoveries reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,782.

The total number of deaths is still at 81, as no new death was reported.

Lapu-Lapu City has a total of 2,184 COVID-19 cases. There are six new cases recorded based on the latest DOH-7 update.

The city has 1,794 recoveries, 20 of which are newly reported.

The total number of deaths remains at 88, as no new death was recorded per the latest update.

Cebu Province, on the other hand, has 686 active cases.

The total number of cases in the province is at 2,589, after recording additional 35 cases.

The total recovery is at 1,769, 29 of these are new.

The total number of deaths is at 134 as two new deaths were recorded.

As of Thursday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Central Visayas is at 18,659, with 2,192 active cases.  The region has 15,367 total reported recoveries, and 1,100 total reported deaths. — GAN (FREEMAN)
