Dugan, one of the champions, said the competition is aimed at enhancing the shooting skills of the policemen in the region as well as developing their confidence in handling their firearms in certain situations where it is needed.
Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella reminded the police that they should be precautionary rather than reactionary in handling their firearms, because someone else's life cannot be brought back if they become reactionary.
"It was always our orientation that the police should always be prepared because they always risk their lives when they perform their duties," said Labella.
Labella also expressed his satisfaction at the efforts of the police in maintaining the peace and order during Sinulog.
"We are very satisfied and we thank the regional office that took part in promoting peace and order during the entire celebration of the Sinulog," he added. — Marjory D. Enriquez (FREEMAN)
