Capitol BAC, discipline committee reorganized

CEBU, Philippines - Governor Hilario Davide III has reorganized the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) and the Committee on Discipline and Investigation (CODI) of the Cebu Provincial Capitol.

The Infrastructure BAC is composed of Provincial Administrator Mark Tolentino; acting Provincial Engineer Hector Jamora; acting Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Melita Labarejos; Provincial Legal Officer Orvi Ortega; and acting Provincial Assessor Alma Sibonga.

Provincial General Services Officer Eva Encabo, acting Provincial Treasurer Emmanuel Guial, acting Provincial Budget Officer Danilo Rodas; acting Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Evelyn Sinajon; Dr. Manuel Purog of the Provincial Health Office and Ortega also compose the BAC on Goods and Services.

In an executive order dated July 15, 2013, Davide stated that BAC members shall serve for a period of one year up to July 15, 2014 and shall elect among a chairman and vice-chairman.

Davide directed each committee to submit immediately for his approval the members of its secretariat and the technical working group as its main support unit.

In a separate executive order also dated July 15, 2013, Davide designated Tolentino as chairman of CODI while Ortega is the vice chairman.

The members are assistant Provincial Legal Officer Marino Martinquilla, Provincial Human Resources Management Officer Noli Vincent Valencia, and Capitol lawyer Donato Villa Jr.

The committee is tasked to investigate and impose discipline on errant Capitol employees. MIT (FREEMAN)
