At The SRP, Police car hits tree

CEBU, Philippines - A police car was damaged after it hit a tree when the driver attempted to avoid a crossing dog at the South Road Properties around 4 p.m. last Tuesday.

The driver was identified as Police Officer 2 Romeo D. Caacoy Jr., a member of the Mobile Patrol Group of the Cebu City Police Office.

Caacoy was reportedly driving the MPG Patrol Car with body number 010, bearing the plate number SHN-898, near Pond A at the SRP when the incident happened.

He was reportedly on his way to the MPG office at the SRP Mambaling, driving at 50 kilometers per hour.

Upon reaching Gate 3, Caacoy turned left when a stray dog suddenly crossed the street. He reportedly lost control, bumping the vehicle into a tree.
