Roof Feng Shui!

NO NONSENSE FENG SHUI - The Freeman
Roof Feng Shui!
The Kardashian family is sure to milk the publicity for all its worth. Kim might even turn the incident into a tell-all book.

Kanyu or canopy is the ancient term for feng shui as well as the origin of roofs on living quarters and the umbrella for the mobile ones! these are all designed to protect humans and domesticated animals from wind and water or nature's seasons and abrupt weather changes, like heat waves, sandstorms, typhoons and the regular rainy seasons. It is protection from barbaric thieves, too!

As such, roofing architecture was invented out of necessity, with feng shui as a precursor of promoting the occupant's safety, health, and human progress! Roof feng shui is one of the most important facets of luck by design in feng shui. The kanyu or canopy of protecting one's person, wellbeing and fortune is the primal set of objectives attuned to harmonious aesthetic design with durable materials whether waterproof or weatherproof against not just rain but snow, sandstorm, or typhoon and tornadoes.

Here are tips on what to avoid in order to harness good fortune:

1. Never have colors for roofing that symbolize the color of water element in feng shui. Water is money. A money-colored roof will continuously burden occupants with monetary worries and problems. Water colors are black, gray, blue, aqua and their variegated pantones in the paint guides. Thus Japanese Asian modern homes with black roofing or grayish material are considered bad feng shui. Most blue-roofed homes and warehouses are often the first to be foreclosed by creditors! This applies generically to everybody.

2. Never have fire color inspired roof too. For obvious reasons, lest the owners live in hotheaded tempers and disharmony day in and day out, and employees too in a business setting. The same applies to cooking areas or dirty kitchen, as case may be on rooftops or decks.

3. Shapes should be auspicious too. Bad feng shui shapes of a roof topview should not be a triangle, diamond, cross, octagon or circle! These shapes create sha or bad chi that affects the people living inside, in front, behind or beside it. A domed roof is also bad feng shui, except for chapels and churches or public areas like coliseums and cockpits.

4. Sunroof portions or commonly known as skylights should not be located at the center of house or building, as it symbolically punctures the heart as well as torso of the owner. It leads to lung and cardiac problems!

5. Similarly, no skylight should be right above any bed in any room especially the master bedroom. This creates a coffin image.

6. Never decorate a whole roof full of lights for any reason, be it tivoli lights or Christmas lights, Limit such decorations to the roof sides or fashcia boards.

7. Never have a swimming pool atop a roof or roofdeck as this will be like #1 mentioned above! The same applies for laundry areas.

8. For pet lovers, never put your pets - be it birds like pigeons or others, cocks, and dogs and others - on the roof or roof deck, lest you become their slave not their master. The same applies for house-help quarters.

These general guides are applicable to all structures: home, business, public buildings or condominiums and schools - even funeral parlors and memorial park structures. Agricultural farm structures too, be it a fish pen shed, chicken house or piggery.

9. Last but not the least, never have your roof lower than street level as seen in countryside mountain highways or even urban hilly terrains. For obvious reasons! It is not only too unsafe from landslides but also from other waiting accidents!

A joke is told of the luckiest roof in the world. Three grade-school children were trying to outdo one another in boasting. One claims their roof was worth 200-thousand pesos even if it was only made of bamboo materials. Another bragged that their steel-trussed roofing was worth over five million pesos! But as the two kids accompanied home their other playmate who was a street urchin, the poor kid said, "Sorry to ruin your day, but our roof is worth 650-million pesos, according to my father..."  Then they entered an open shanty under the biggest flyover in the city!

So there, it matters to learn the luck or bad luck that a roof brings in feng shui. So raise the roof of fortune above your heads according to the content of your character! Yes, leaky roofs are lucky as they signify money coming into the house, figuratively in feng shui! So will you seal your fates?
