SM City Bacolod's MassKara Festival Mardi Gras and Food Festival

SM City Bacolod gives you more reasons to SMile this MassKara with the biggest and most happening party in the City...MassKara Festival Mardi Gras and Food Festival 2008 on Oct.17-19 from 6 p.m. onwards at the North 3 Carpark.

October 17 - POP ROCK Night. A high-energy night featuring top local bands that showcase the many facets of popular rock music - AIRE is the most in-demand campus band; ROADHOUSE with powerhouse lead vocalists Michelle Gallaga (formerly DV8) and Paul Montenegro; and SALAMANDER - an award wining OPM rock band.

Topped off with Manila band and crowd favorite – CALLALILLY.  All these promise a real rockin’ and rollin’ MassKara night.

October 18 - LATINO Night: A rhythmically captivating night. Highly percussive, dance to powerhouse rhythms by Chakra, SigabooM 2007 Tribal Drumbeating Competition & La Carlota’s Pasalamat Festival Champion - TRIBU DOS Drumbeaters; and 2005 Global Battle of the Bands Visayas Champion and Bacolod’s pride – premiere Latino band - GRUPO MARI TEVES (GMT) band.

October 19 - SigabooM 2008 The World Beat Challenge Drumbeating Competition. The most dynamic drumbeating competition continues.  This year’s “World Beat Challenge” theme will truly be unique as drumbeaters for the island the city outdo each other to vie for the P25,000 top prize. Back from Spain - DJ Elmer Dado (also one of the competition’s judges) and Gruppo Tribale promise an unforgettable evening of great music and fun!  A spectacular fireworks display by PYRO MAGIC 2007 Champion - PEACOCK Fireworks will once again cap the last night of the festivities.
