Good news shopaholics! The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) welcomes back the much-awaited Hong Kong Shopping Festival. This Discover Hong Kong Year, the shopping extravaganza will take visitors in a fun and frenzied ride, with the best bargains and fantastic deals that Asia's world city has to offer. From June 24 to August 31, revel in unbeatable shopping fun in Hong Kong highlighted by amazing selections of goods, excellent quality service as well as late-night dining and attractive shopping promos.
Taking this experience to even greater heights is the exciting annual Hong Kong Shopper of the Year contest! Take part in this unique & once-in-a-lifetime shopping challenge and be one of the premier shoppers from all over the world vying for the coveted title of "Shopper of the Year."
To prove that Filipinos have what it takes to battle it out in the shopping arena, the Hong Kong Tourism Board is on the look out for gutsy, determined and shopaholic Filipinos to become the Philippine representative to the Hong Kong Shopper of the Year contest.
Avid Filipino shoppers ages 18 and above, with valid passports and have been to Hong Kong, are welcome to join the Search for the Philippine Representative to the Hong Kong Shopper of the Year Contest to prove that Filipinos can shop with the best of them! So, grab a partner and troop to the Glorietta Activity Center (Nautica side) on these dates: July 7-9 and July 14-16 and be a step closer in representing the Philippines in this thrilling shopping olympics in Hong Kong! Just present any Php 500 proof of purchase from any store located in the mall and tell us in the most creative way possible why you & your partner should be the Philippine Representative to the Shopper of the Year Contest in Hong Kong. After the audition period, judges will determine 5 finalists who'll move on to the next & final round to determine the winning pair.
Entries will be judged based on the ff. criteria:
Audience Impact / Appeal - 20%
Ability to express himself/herself- 20%
Passion / Love for Shopping - 20%
Knowledge of Hong Kong - 20%
Creativity / Resourcefulness- 20%
The grand prizewinner gets an all-expense paid trip to Hong Kong, for that once-in-a-lifetime chance to compete with shoppers from around the globe, and premier bragging rights as the "2006 Shopper of the Year"!
