Good friends Judy Ann and Ogie team up in Regal Films' "Oh My Girl"

(Intro) Judy Ann Santos is very happy to be working with Ogie Alcasid in the forthcoming movie Oh My Girl from Regal Entertainment, helmed by her good friend Dante Nico Garcia (who also directed her in Ploning.)

“Even before we had the chance to work together, Ogie and I had been good friends already. So when we are at work, we have fun talking with each other about our lives, about our partners and about kids as well,” said Juday when we visited her on the set of Oh My Girl at Taal, Batangas last week. That day also happened to be the first shooting day of Megastar Sharon Cuneta who agreed to do a cameo role in the film.

Does her hubby Ryan Agoncillo have a cameo role in Oh My Girl? “We’ve always had cameo roles in the movies na hindi kami magkasama. We don’t like the people to say na we didn’t do this movie together pero parang magkasama pa rin kami dahil may cameo appearance si Ryan,” she said.

“If Ryan and I would be together in a movie, it would be best that we do a full-length film,” she added. “We have several projects in line but Ryan and I are studying which film we would accept.”

In Oh My Girl, Juday is playing the role of an artista who has many hang-ups in life which she tries to cover up by being maarte in the way she speaks. “I am more kikay here. It’s similar to the role of Reese Whitherspoon in Legally Blond, ‘yung malandi na maarte, flirty-flirty. She doesn’t know what she wants. In the end, she realizes she wants her old self,” she revealed.

Ogie plays her childhood friend. They were together in the orphanage but they got separated after they were adopted – Juday by Carmi Martin, and Ogie by Roderick Paulate. Juday went on to become a movie star while Ogie became a cellphone repairman. They cross paths again and this is the point in the story where things get more interesting.

Angel Locsin is feeling heaven these days. Only You is rating very well and Lobo, her first soap opera for ABS-CBN, was named best soap opera in Canada.

It’s been almost two years since Angel signed up with ABS-CBN after that tumultuous and controversial parting with GMA 7. At the onset, Angel was pictured as the kontrabida for parting ways with GMA. But she was deadset on making the big switch, no matter the consequences it would bring her.

No matter how controversial the decision to jump to the Kapamilya network was, Angel has proven her detractors wrong. While not everybody may agree with the move, Angel’s career has since improved.

She won an acting award for her stint in ABS-CBN’s Maalaala Mo Kaya. She did the series Lobo with Piolo Pascual and also did a film with him.

An added feather on Angel’s cap is the show Only You with has been rating very well based on the ratings culled nationwide. To all these accomplishments, Angel is very thankful to the support of the people who had continuously supported her and the many projects that she had been doing.

She vowed to continue do the best for her job as an actress and she also gives credit to the staff of Lobo for the award that it received.

Angel likewise gave a thumbs-up sign to the staff of Only You for the good job they’ve done to make the show a top-rater.
