Psychic expert sees rosy prospects, Cebu foreseen to follow HK's economic boom

Ehda Dagooc - The Philippine Star

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu's welcoming vibes and natural charm will bring its economy further up in this year of the Wooden Horse, as it is seen to follow the footsteps of Hong Kong's economic development in the long term prospect.

The country's known geomancer and feng shui practitioner Francis Gaw predicted Cebu's fast gear in moving upward economically, to be supported well by the entire country's rosy feng shui prospects for 2014.

Different from the traditional feng shui practitioners, Gaw largely uses his innate gift of strong intuition, as he likes to be called a "psychic" consultant, rather than feng shui expert.

Gaw's extra sensory gift gained trust among businessmen all over the country and abroad for annual consultation and psychic advise, including high-ranking politicians, big conglomerates, giant real estate developers and hotel chains, among others.

Generally, Gaw reiterated that Cebu will have its positive turn of high economic growth this year, although the attitude of people living in the province is crucial to attaining success especially in business.

Unlike other feng shui experts, Gaw largely believes in the presence of spirits in the supernatural world, in whose company business makes or breaks. He doesn't believe in industry-specific winners or losers in his years of practice, saying if a man is born businessman he only has to follow the three important laws of life: that of God, nature and man.

While others downplayed the mystical and unexplained presence of supernatural world's involvement to humans, especially in business, Gaw, however, had been able to rescue ghost-filled buildings, including well-known hotel buildings in the country, as well as hundred of wealthy residences across the Philippines.

While he believes in Cebu's good vibes for economic boom this year, he said a business entrepreneur could only expect to prosper if he has done good feasibility on his business, good and diligent attitude in pursuing a venture and the right feng shui.

Feng shui is a Chinese art of proper placement and orientation of objects in relation to the flow of energy. It is used by businessmen, among others, to plan the construction of buildings, offices and houses.

While most of the feng shui experts recommend ornaments, gems and crystals to fight bad luck and negative energy, Gaw highly recommends the power of prayers to attract success and fight the existence of bad elements that may be living in "our houses, offices, and buildings."

He, however, said the presence of right gems and crystals in the building or house, or even in a person (as accessories), could aid in repelling unwelcomed energies and spirits.

Prediction

Ten years ago, Gaw predicted that Cebu will lead in the economic growth in the country amid crises and other external disruptions. True enough, Cebu has become one, if  not the fastest growing economies in the Philippines, even becoming the top 10 best business process outsourcing destinations in the world.

"I am optimistic about Cebu. The energy is different here," he said emphasizing that Cebu's growth will take a longer streak at least in the next five years, but the high momentum is seen to continue even in the next 18 years.

Gaw was recently in Cebu to give his psychic advise and share basic feng shui advise to clients and agents of Sundance Residences, Cebu's first child friendly residential condominium development.

Gaw looks into the layouts of hotels and offices and homes of Chinese businessmen to ensure auspicious configurations. He said also greatly aided by his extra-sensory gift which he has known for the past 20 years.

He began his "mission" of dispensing feng shui and psychic attributing the help from elderly temple monks who admonished him to use his gift to help others improve their lives.

Gaw believes that there is no bad or good business; the secret lies in the universal law of harmonious lifestyle and always acknowledging the presence and guidance of higher Divine or God.

Although the western world and Christian religion has largely considered this belief as merely "superstitious," most businesses have put their faith and attributed their success in feng shui tips, including the mystical and supernatural involvement to human's daily life. /JMD (FREEMAN)
