Record Ranger sales helps drive Ford’s second best-ever month

MANILA, Philippines - Ford Philippines reported last week that overall retail sales rose 46 percent year-over-year to 1,225 units, representing its second-best ever monthly performance, following record sales in October.

The strong November performance was led by an all-time record month for the Ford Ranger pickup, with the all-new Ranger delivering retail sales of 344 units.

The class-defining all-new Ranger was officially launched in the Philippines in July, and delivers proven durability, outstanding capability, advanced technologies and exceptional fuel efficiency all packaged in 21st Century Tough styling.

“Exceptional customer response to our newly launched One Ford vehicles like the all-new Ranger is helping drive record sales,” said Randy Krieger, president, Ford Group Philippines. “By offering customers the widest range of Ford vehicles ever in the Philippines, our brand is connecting with, and appealing to, a much wider variety of lives and lifestyles.”

The all-new Ford Explorer posted its second highest monthly sales since being launched, with 107 units sold, as the technology-packed SUV continues to redefine its segment and appeal to a wide range of customers in the Philippines.

In November, sales of the popular Ford Fiesta increased nine percent from the previous year to 248 units, with the five-door Fiesta retaining its position as the best-selling five-door hatchback in the small car segment.

In its third month of availability, the iconic Ford Mustang continues to exceed expectations with sales of 37 units. A total of 130 units have now been delivered in just its first three months of availability.

In addition to the introduction of segment-leading One Ford vehicles, Ford continues to build on its commitment to further improving its customer experience, which includes customer convenience from an even wider network of nationwide coverage.

Ford is on in the midst of opening 12 new authorized dealerships over a six-month stretch, which will bring its total to 35 locations across the country by the second quarter of next year.

In November, Ford celebrated the opening of Ford Pampanga and groundbreaking of Ford Alabang, which will be one the largest full sales and service facilities in the ASEAN region.

“With the consecutive launches of our best-in-class Ford vehicles and the aggressive expansion of our nationwide dealer network, we are committed to going further and making the Ford brand even more accessible to our customers across the Philippines,” said Krieger.
