Making life better through monumental ideas are the Wharton Penn Alumni Association (WAA) led by its president Peter Coyiuto, and the Harvard Business School (HBS) Club of the Philippines headed by co-presidents Jose Barroco and Mikko Perez. The two organizations recently concluded its first successful joint panel discussion entitled “Energy Priorities and Attracting Investments for New Power Plants.” The guest of honor Energy secretary Jose Rene Almendras was joined by panellists Aboitiz Power Corporation president and chief executive officer Erramon Aboitiz, First Philippine Holdings Corporation chairman and chief executive officer Federico Lopez, San Miguel Global Power Holdings Corporation president and chief operating officer Alan Ortiz and Meralco senior executive vice president and chief operating officer Oscar Reyes in developing ways to improve the energy sector and attract more investments to the country.
