MANILA, Philippines — GoTyme Bank has entered the digital asset space with the nationwide launch of Go Crypto, a new in-app feature that allows its customers to buy, hold and manage cryptocurrencies directly through the lender’s mobile platform.

The Gokongwei-backed digital bank said the new service gives Filipinos a simpler and more secure way to explore crypto assets, offering access to 11 popular coins without the need to open accounts on separate trading platforms.

“Go Crypto is about expanding the investing horizon for Filipinos in a way that’s secure, simple, and built on trust,” said Nathaniel Clarke, president and CEO of GoTyme Bank.

“For too long, crypto investing has felt complicated or out of reach. We’re changing that by giving Filipinos a platform that’s simple, intuitive, and built on the same rock-solid infrastructure that powers our everyday banking. This launch is another meaningful step forward on our journey to unlock the full financial potential of our customers.”

The service includes major tokens such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Ripple (XRP), Polkadot (DOT), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Avalanche (AVAX), Uniswap (UNI), Chainlink (LINK) and Aave (AAVE).

Because all transactions occur within GoTyme Bank’s closed-loop system, users do not need to transfer funds to third-party exchanges. This is an approach meant to prioritize security and regulatory compliance.

GoTyme is licensed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as a virtual asset service provider, ensuring the service operates under strict regulatory oversight. Each token listed on the platform undergoes “bank-grade due diligence” before being offered to customers.

The rollout is part of the bank’s broader push to expand investment access for Filipinos. Clarke said the goal is to offer tools “grounded in transparency, reliability and financial empowerment.”

Go Crypto offers a wide range of tools designed to make digital asset investing easier and safer for users. The platform provides access to 11 major cryptocurrencies and allows instant transfers between fiat and crypto.

New users undergo risk profiling at sign-up, while a dedicated crypto account helps keep portfolios organized. Investors also benefit from real-time market data and news, along with transparent pricing free from hidden charges.

All transactions are secured within GoTyme Bank’s closed-loop infrastructure, ensuring a safer environment for managing digital assets.

GoTyme Bank, a collaboration between the Gokongwei Group and Tyme, positions the platform as an extension of its digital banking ecosystem, which includes a mobile app, kiosks and debit cards.

The bank reminded users that virtual assets remain highly volatile and speculative, and are not insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp. It urged customers to be aware of the risks, including potential loss of principal and evolving regulatory developments.
