MANILA, Philippines —  As the holiday season nears, low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific is increasing flight schedules to some of the most in-demand destinations in the Philippines to support air travel.

The Gokongwei-led airline is raising flight volume starting Oct. 26 to domestic destinations across the country in anticipation of a travel boom during the Christmas holidays.

Cebu Pacific is boosting Clark flights to El Nido and Busuanga to 18 times and 17 times weekly, respectively, to increase service availability to island paradise Palawan.

Likewise, it is turning its Cebu-Calbayog flight into an 11 times a week frequency for travelers headed to Eastern Visayas, particularly Samar.

From Manila, Cebu Pacific is ramping up its flight schedules to Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dumaguete, General Santos City, Iloilo, Pagadian, Puerto Princesa and Zamboanga. By then, Manila flights to Cebu will become 103 times a week.

Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Alexander Lao said the airline is raising its domestic flights to give more choices when booking holiday trips.

“With the peak holiday season fast approaching, we want to ensure that our passengers will have more opportunities to spend time with loved ones and enjoy well-deserved breaks,” Lao said.

“By adding more flights on key domestic routes, we aim to make it easier for every Juan to travel to their chosen destinations,” he added.

Cebu Pacific, the country’s largest carrier by fleet and passenger size, is also pushing up its flight volumes to several cities in Asia and Australia. Earlier, the carrier has announced additional trips to Bangkok, Thailand; Da Nang, Vietnam; Melbourne, Australia; and Sapporo, Japan.

Cebu Pacific is bolstering Cebu flights to Bangkok via Don Mueang to four times a week starting Oct. 26. By Oct. 28, Manila trips to Da Nang will become 10 times weekly.

Cebu Pacific is also flying daily between Manila and Sapporo from Dec. 10 to Feb. 27, 2026 to take advantage of the demand for winter vacation during the period.

Further, Manila flights to Melbourne will be adjusted to five times weekly beginning Dec. 12 for homecomings from Australia.
