MANILA, Philippines — Jollibee Foods Corp. continues its expansion in the Middle East with the opening of a new store in the United Arab Emirates.

Located in Abu Dhabi, the new store is the 48th Jollibee store in the Middle East, and its 16th store in the UAE.

“We are truly grateful for the constant support of our customers in the Middle East,” said Dennis Flores, JFC president for Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia.

Flores said while the homegrown restaurant chain continues to have the support of Filipinos in the Middle East, it is also increasingly seeing more locals and migrants of other nationalities coming to the Jollibee stores.

“This shows that we are gaining traction among the mainstream market thus further increasing our customer base. We are excited to serve more of our fellow kababayans and local customers as we sustain our growth and expansion in the Middle East,” he said.

Jollibee is present in all six of the GCC countries in the Middle East, namely the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.

Jollibee has over 1,400 stores across the globe, with more stores scheduled to open this year.

Overall, the Jollibee Group operates in 34 countries, with over 5,800 stores globally.

It has eight wholly owned brands namely Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan and Smashburger.
