Isuzu to open 2 Mindanao dealerships

MANILA, Philippines — Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) is opening two new dealerships in Mindanao next year to further widen its reach and tap opportunities for the automotive and transport industries in the area.

In a statement, IPC said the  new dealerships would rise in Tagum City in Davao del Norte and Pagadian City.

Tagum is considered a strategic location for the company as the city serves as an important economic crossroad not just for the province, but the whole Davao region.

IPC expects the Isuzu Tagum dealership to be completed by May next year.

Isuzu Pagadian, which is situated at the regional center of Zamboanga Peninsula, will cater to the growing transportation and logistics requirements in the area, as well as nearby provinces.

Pagadian is the second largest city in the region.

IPC said the dealership in Pagadian would be completed by February next year.

“Isuzu Pagadian and Isuzu Tagum will feature the newest Isuzu showroom design that provides a better atmosphere and better kind of service. Both dealerships also comprise the strategic triangle of supply and service of world-class Isuzu vehicle brands in Mindanao, covering Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula and Davao region,” IPC said.

IPC is expanding its dealership network to serve more customers.

Earlier this month, it opened a new dealership in Oriental Mindoro.

It also started the construction of a new dealership in Cavite and in La Union.

IPC’s offerings cover light commercial vehicles such as the mu-X and D-MAX; commercial vehicles Traviz, N-Series, F-Series and C&E Series trucks as well as public utility vehicles.

IPC’s total vehicle sales reached 16,729 units last year,  44.4 percent lower than the 30,086 units sold in 2017.

As of the end of November, IPC sales reached 12,724 units, 14.6 percent lower than the previous year.
