MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Tourism (DOT) is set to launch its Bring Home a Friend program (BHAF) next month in line with efforts to boost tourist arrivals.
“We would like to close the year strongly for the tourism industry in terms of visitor arrivals and carry the momentum into the coming year,” said Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo.
The tourism department is targeting to hit the seven million mark in tourist arrivals this year.
Latest figures from the DOT show that tourist arrivals increased to 3.36 million in the first half, 12.7 higher than the 2.98 million recorded in the same period last year.
