Megaworld unit unveils new Tagaytay residential project

MANILA, Philippines - Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Megaworld Corp., has unveiled a new residential project in Tagaytay.

The 12-story Manor which will rise on the company’s 1,200 hectare Twin Lakes, which is inspired by the famous chalets in the Swiss Alps. It will offer 129 units or only 14 units per floor that range from 27 sqm. to 55 sqm.

There will also be amenity decks, which include a swimming pool with lounge and spa, a function hall, a business center, a fitness center, a game room, as well as outdoor amenities and a children’s play area.

Glennford Heraldo, vice president for sales and marketing of Twin Lakes, said residents would have a European experience of living at the Manor.

The new development will be located within the Twin Lake’s The Vineyard, a 1.3-hectare residential phase of the township.

The 10-hectare vineyard features a landscape of tidy rows of grape-dotted vines that banter unpredictably with the changing seasons, a setting that mirrors the world’s renowned vineyards in Tuscany and Napa Valley.

Twin Lakes is Tagaytay’s largest and most complete tourism estate with expansive nature spaces linked by residential villas, condominiums, townhouses, hotel and resort, commercial and retail hubs, and leisure facilities.

In the first half of the year, GERI posted a net income of P465 million, up 37 percent as revenues rose 36 percent to P2.86 billion.

The key driver of GERI’s growth is still its residential arm, which accounts for close to 75 percent of the group’s total revenues.

The company noted strong residential sales in Boracay Newcoast in Aklan, Sta. Barbara Heights in Iloilo, Twin Lakes in Tagaytay, Southwoods City in Cavite-Laguna and Alabang West in Las Pinas City.

Aside from Twin Lakes, GERI has four other townships across the country: the 150-hectare Boracay Newcoast in Boracay Island, Aklan; the 561-hectare Southwoods City on the boundaries of Carmona, Cavite, and Biñan, Laguna; the 173-hectare Sta. Barbara Heights in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo and the 62-hectare Alabang West.
