Robinsons malls bag major awards in PRA’s Retailer Awards

MANILA, Philippines - The country’s leading property developer Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) has once again proved its dominance in the retail sector after it bagged several major awards in the recently concluded 18th Outstanding Filipino Retailers and Shopping Centers of the Year Awards by the Philippine Retailers Association last Wednesday night.

RLC’s Robinsons Magnolia became a Hall of Fame Awardee for Shopping Center of the Year after it won the Shopping Center of the Year under the Medium Category for the second consecutive year while Robinsons Palawan was crowned as the Shopping Center of the Year under the Small Category.

The top malls which are honored in the annual competition are regarded for their innovation, products and exceptional customer service.

This year’s winners were judged based on tenant and product mix, customer service and marketing (30 percent); sales performance (20 percent); parking, accessibility, facilities, policies and procedures (20 percent); and reputation (10 percent).

With the recent award, Robinsons Magnolia has now become a multi-awarded mall after previously capturing the International Property Awards and the Philippine Property Awards in 2013. It is also regarded as the first green building in Quezon City.

For its part, Robinsons Palawan serves as the first and only full service mall in Puerto Princesa City.

With its four digital cinemas, amusement center, gaming center and a complete tenant mix, Robinsons Palawan has already become a tourist destination in Puerto Princesa as it even provides cultural shows and entertainment for both local and foreign visitors during weekends.

Aside from its award-winning and highly-acclaimed malls across the country, RLC continues to provide more top-notch and world-class shopping centers to more Filipinos nationwide.

RLC is currently constructing five malls including the Robinsons Galleria Cebu, the property leader’s latest exciting and prestigious mall offering.

RLC serves as the property unit of JG Summit Holdings of the Gokongwei family. As the country’s leading property developer, RLC operates commercial centers, residential and office buildings, as well as hotels.
