Fake stainless steel dealers face crackdown

MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation has raided another supply store and confiscated its counterfeit stainless steel goods being sold and distributed in the industrial market.

The latest crackdown was effected after conducting surveillance and test buy operations in Lipa City, Batangas against a trader selling fake Allegeni Stainless Steel products.

The owner and operator of C.K. Stainless & Steel Supply  now faces criminal charges, including Trademark Infringement, that were filed by the trademark owner and leading manufacturer of genuine stainless steel coils, plates and sheets under the name “Allegeni.”

This recent crackdown on unfair business practices and competition against  Allegeni Stainless Steel products brings the company’s unrelenting nationwide effort to keep and maintain its reputation of providing world-class goods.

Several other firms are being investigated for unfair business practices and competition.

“We will continue to pursue all the individuals and groups working to destroy our brand as well as our name that we worked hard to build and protect for 11 long years. It is also our moral duty and obligation to ensure that consumers enjoy only first-class materials which characterize Allegeni’s signature of indisputable excellence,” the stainless steel company’s marketing manager Anj Baylon stressed as she vowed that other perpetrators would also be prosecuted.

At the same time, Baylon appealed to the public to be vigilant against deceit being implemented by saboteurs and report violators to the authorities.

According to Baylon, authorized distributor certificates were issued to guarantee that legal Allegeni sellers vend only its authentic laboratory-tested stainless steel products which passed the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials to be of international quality.
