XONARA feels pressured as 1Z Entertainment’s first girl group

The newly debuted girl group XONARA hopes to be recognized as artists who pour their heart and soul into every piece of music they create.
The seven-member P-pop act is made up of Eurekah, Ella, Dominique, Tin, Megumi, Lei and Namie.
“From (discovering) our passion for music to writing our songs and recording in the studio, it’s been a dream (come true) for all of us. We want to be known as a group of artists who put their heart and soul into the music,” Ella told The STAR in an interview after their performance at the Aurora Music Festival Clark 2026, Clark Global City.
“The seven of us are very, very distinct from each other. We have our own preferences and tasks (roles), but we (come together) as one (through our shared) dreams and goals, and it all boils down to our love for music and our artistry,” added Megumi.
For Dominique, the group hopes to “add more flavor” to the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) scene. “(And that’s by staying true) to our authentic sounds as seven young ladies with seven different vibes. We also hope to collaborate and give another flavor, hopefully, and contribute to OPM.”
As the first girl group to be launched under 1Z Entertainment, the label co-founded by the “Kings of P-pop” SB19, the girls admitted that they feel the pressure.
“To be honest po, sobrang nakaka-pressure, but feeling ko naman po all throughout this journey, hindi po talaga siya mawawala,” Namie shared.
Eurekah agreed, “Na-pe-pre-pressure po kami, but at the same time, it’s a good pressure kasi kung ano man po yung goal ni 1Z, ng SB19, same po yung goals ni XONARA.”
Last month, XONARA officially debuted at Escolta St. with their single, Tabi, during an event called “XONARA’s World.” The group said they want to focus on hip-hop and R&B, but they are also open to trying other music genres in the future.
Megumi expounded on the origins of the group’s name, which is derived from the words “Sonar,” “Sora” and “Narra.” “Sonar” reflects the artists’ voices and stories, while “Sora” draws inspiration from Tandang Sora and the courage she embodied.
“Narra,” meanwhile, comes from the Narra tree, representing the group’s strength and determination. The “X” symbolizes the girls’ “limitless possibilities.”
Moreover, the XONARA members were grateful for the warm reception they received from the Day 1 crowd at Aurora Music Festival Clark 2026, marking their first performance at the event.
“It’s overwhelming,” Lei said of the audience’s response. “But we really appreciate it.”
“We’re super grateful, grabe po kami ka-blessed. We’re super grateful for the support. We can’t believe we’re already living the dream. Thank you very much,” Tin chimed in.
SB19, IV OF SPADES and Ben&Ben headlined the two-day music festival in its fifth anniversary, presented by EPIC EVENTS. They were joined by December Avenue, Armi Millare, SexBomb Girls, Parokya Ni Edgar, Kamikazee and Kitchie Nadal.
Sarah Geronimo was originally set to join the Aurora Music Festival Clark 2026 but was unable to attend due to health issues, as announced by Viva Artists Agency and G Productions.
