Sokor nagdagdag ng relief team sa Pinas

MANILA, Philippines - Nagdagdag ng humanitatian assistance ang South Korea para sa mga biktima ng bagyong Yolanda.

Ayon sa report ng Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Seoul sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), nagpadala kahapon ang Korea sa Pilipinas ng kanilang disaster relief team na binubuo ng 20 medical personnel, 14 paramedics, apat na staff members ng Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) at dalawang opisyal ng Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) lulan ng isang military aircraft.

Nauna rito, naglaan ang South Korea ng US$5 milyon o P215 milyon bilang “comprehensive assistance” para sa mga survivors at biktima ng super typhoon Yolanda matapos ang ginawang private-public meeting sa emergency relief operations overseas.

“The Philippines is a close ally of South Korea which took part in the Korean War, a home country of mothers of many multicultural families here and a valuable partner for shared growth,” ayon kay Second Vice Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul.

Nabatid na naglagay na ang MOFA ng emergency response headquarters sa Cebu upang mapabilis ang pagbibigay nila ng tulong sa mga biktima ng bagyo.
