CEBU, Philippines — Ang pagsugod og pagpamakuna sa mga estudyanteng atleta nga gipasiugdahan sa kagamhanan sa sa nasud usa ka maanindot nga kalamboan alang sa Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) sigun pa sa commissioner sa liga nga si Felix "Boy" O. Tiukinhoy, Jr.

Usa kini ka mahinungdanong lakang aron mabalik na ang gitinguha sa kadaghanan nga face-to-face training ug dayon na ngadto sa face-to-face events sunod tuig.
"It's truly a welcome development for the CESAFI," dason pa ni Tiukinhoy."Personally, I am an advocate of "no vaccine, no play" policy once the situation gets back to normal in the future."
Sama sa ubang mga school-based sports leagues sa nasud, nahunong ang tanang mga aktibidades sa CESAFI tungod sa kalibutanhong pandemiya sud sa kapin usa na ka tuig.
Apan tungod niining programa sa pagpamakuna sa mga student-athletes, si Tiukinhoy napuno sa paglaum nga ang CESAFI makapahigayon sa gilaraw niining comeback season unya sa 2022.
"That is something that I really look forward to," padayag pa ni Tiukinhoy. "At the moment, getting the students and the rest of education stakeholder protected against Covid-19 is the kind of direction every school wants to take. By having everyone vaccinated, that would lead to the return of face-to-face classes and eventually face-to-face competitions we are longing for. We will just keep our fingers crossed for better days ahead."
Sa kasamtangan hinoon, si Tiukinhoy nagkanayon nga kinahanglan nga makuntento lang usa sila sa pagpadagan og mga virtual tournaments, nga maoy kasamtangan nilang giluto alang sa CESAFI sunod semester.
"Actually, we already had initial talks with the different athletic directors about holding CESAFI online events next semester such as chess, taekwondo and weightlifting among others. We will try to finalize everything by January so that we can start it most probably by April." panapos pa ni Tiukinhoy.
