Importasyon sa bugas liberalized na
CEBU, Philippines — Gimando na ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte ang full liberalized importation sa bugas sa tinguha nga moubos ang impact sa inflation sa nasud.
Matud ni Senador Cynthia Villar atol sa 3rd Philippine Seaweed Congress nga ang pag-liberalized sa importasyon sa bugas dili lang modaghan ang suplay apan makakunhod usab sa presyo ug makapaminus sab sa rice smuggling.
"The liberalization of the rice importation will help curb rice smuggling and will compel rice importers to pay the right taxes and duties because the Bureau of Customs will be putting up a National Single Window," matud ni Villar kinsa maoy chairperson sa Senate Committee on Food and Agriculture.
Sa iyang speech, nanghinaut si Villar nga makab-ot sa mga miyembro sa Seaweed Industry Association of the Philippines ang ilang tinguha nga mabalik ang ilang position isip "world’s leading producer of seaweeds".
"There is no doubt that challenges as well as opportunities abound in the industry, just as in other industries in the agriculture sector. Kaya naman importante na magkaisa ang mga industry players to look for solutions to the problems, beat the challenges and seize the opportunities.
Our country is blessed with abundant acquatic resources, so that alone is an unbeatable opportunity for us to take the lead in the fisheries sector, where the seaweed industry is a major component," dugang ni Villar. (BANAT NEWS)
