CEBU, Philippines - The Yaw-Yan ArDigma Martial Arts Federation, Inc. got some boost in its staging of the Cebu Extreme Fight League (CEFL) 2 dubbed as ‘No Way Out’ on February 18 at the Cebu Coliseum after the Cebu City Sports Commission under chairman Eduard Hayco promised its all-out support for the highly-anticipated amateur mixed martial arts event.

Yaw-Yan ArDigma CEO/Founder and Vis-Min director Master Benigno ‘Ekin’ R. Caniga Jr. said Hayco believes in the main thrust of the tournament that is to find potential athletes and at the same time give men an activity where they can pour their skills and warrior mentality.

"CCSC has always been supportive for the development of young Cebuano combat athletes just like what it did in the past few years in the 'Bakbakan sa Sugbu' that provides MMA clinic in several barangays in the city. It helped the Muay Thai Team Cebu in achieving our goals of winning tournaments," said Master Ekin.

The second offering of CEFL presents another action-packed MMA show as Caniga aims to head-hunt talents and develop aspiring MMA warriors who are potential enough to represent Cebu in amateur tournaments in Manila.

Coming off a two-year layoff, fight fans will get an added excitement and thrill in this amateur MMA tilt as fighters will now battle inside a steel cage instead of the traditional ring.

In the main event, veteran Yaw-Yan ArDigma featherweight Roel 'Akiyama' Rosauro will defend his turf against visiting Urtych 'Tank' Alarin of XFC MMA in Butuan.

Also featured in the equally exciting supporting bouts are Cebuano rising prospects Nino Rio 'Pitbull' Saoy of Mactan Combat Sports and Arnel 'Project X' Ylanan of DEFTAC Vagabond Cebu. Saoy will slug it out with Ivan Victorio of Yaw-Yan Olongapo MMA, while Ylanan takes on Rommel Lugo also from Yaw-Yan Olongapo.

Other weight classes to be contested are the straweight (115 lbs.), flyweight (125 lbs.), bantamweight (135 lbs.), featherweight (145 lbs.) and lightweight (155 lbs.). There will also be special categories for women and kids.

Tickets are priced at P200 for the upperbox, P500 for the lowerbox, P750 for the ringside and P1,000 for VIP/Sponsor. For reservations and further information, one may call 255-1405 or 09436568900. (FREEMAN)
