VM Joy B, tumanggap ng parangal
MANILA, Philippines — Tumanggap ng natatanging parangal si Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte mula sa Philippine Blood Center dahil sa ang kanyang tanggapan ang may pinaka madaming na-donate na dugo Philppine Blood center ng Department of Health .
“I humbly dedicate this Jose Rizal Dugong Bayani Award to all of the heroes of Quezon City who relentlessly worked with my office by donating blood during our blood-letting program, so that we may give others a second chance at life”, pahayag ni Belmonte.
“For several years we have received the Andres Bonifacio Award, but this year with the trust and support of our people, we were given highest honors. May we never grow tired of giving a little of ourselves so that others may live.
Mula nang maging bise alkalde ng QC, ang tanggapan ni Belmonte ay patuloy na nagsasagawa ng blood letting program sa ibat- ibang lugar sa lungsod upang makaipon ng dugo na laan sa mga kapuspalad.
Ang bahagi ng nakokolektang dugo ay nailalaan din sa QC General Hospital para sa mga nangangailangan nito sa operasyon ng mga pasyente na nasa pagamutan.
