MANILA, Philippines - Nangako kahapon si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa kanyang unang State of the Nation Address (SONA) na ibibigay niya ang 101 percent na isang malinis na pamahalaan.
Ito ay matapos hilingin niya ang emergency power upang mabilis na malutas ang problema ng trapiko sa Metro Manila.
“The worsening traffic situation will be logically addressed if Congress will accord emergency powers. Nasa inyo yan kung ayaw n’yo fine, we’ll go the longest route, tanggapin ko ang mura n’yo; I assure you 101% that my government is a clean government,” giit pa ni Duterte.
Sinabi pa ni Duterte sa lider ng Simbahan, hindi raw dapat magkaroon ng separation of God and State.
Aniya, nirerespeto niya ang separation ng Church at State lalo sa concern ng Simbahang Katoliko sa bloody anti-crime ware at pag-eendorso niya ng 3-child policy.
“At this point, there are concerns, a few I wish to convey to all to the end as I figurate facts, figures, plans, programs and solutions.These concerns will not dissipate or get lost along our way. Let me assure that while I’m a stickler for the principle of separation between the Church and State, I believe quite strongly that there should never be a separation between God and State,” wika pa ni Duterte.
