Romasanta sa NSAs Kilalanin ang mga kalaban

MANILA, Philippines - Mayroon nang Internet at social media kaya magiging madali nang malalaman ang kakayahan ng mga kalaban para sa Southeast Asian Games sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ito ang magagamit ng mga national sports associations (NSAs) sa kanilang scouting sa mga makakaharap nila sa Kuala Lumpur SEA Games, ayon sa Philippine Olympic Committee.

“We cannot go there blind,” wika ni POC vice president Jose Romasanta na namamahala din sa national karatedo at volleyball associations.

Ayon pa kay Romasanta, naging pinuno ng Project: Gintong Alay noong 1980s at tumayong chef-de-mission ng Philippine delegation sa 2016 Rio Olympics, malaking bentahe para sa mga NSAs kung magagawa nila ito.

“Try to find out what the opposition is going to be so you can project yourself more accurately. As they say, ‘Know yourself and your enemy and you win countless battles,’” ani Romasanta. “Know the opposition you are going to face. We cannot go to there not realizing that others prepared better and longer than us.”

Sinabi ni Romasanta na may pitong buwan pa ang 27 NSAs para pag-aralan ang kanilang mga karibal sa biennial event.

“Then you can plan better. Nobody plans to fail but if you don’t plan, then you are bound to fail,” ani Romasanta.

Tinutulungan ng SEA Games joint task force, binubuo ng Philippine Sports Commission at POC officials, ang mga NSAs sa pagbuo ng Phl Team. (AC)
