4 dead in road mishaps
MANILA, Philippines — Four persons died in road accidents in northern Luzon on Tuesday.
Brixen Andrew Irrevere, 18, was driving his motorcycle when it rammed a bridge in Barangay 10, Laoag, Ilocos Norte at around 2:30 a.m. His companion Michael Llacuna, 19, was injured and taken to the Laoag City General Hospital.
Elmer Domenden, 37, crashed his motorcycle while driving down the road in Barangay Poblacion Sur, Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur.
The tricycle driven by Genaro Sampayan, 56, fell into a ravine in Barangay Villa Santiago, Aglipay, Quirino. He was declared dead on arrival at the Quirino Province Medical Center, where his passenger, Jomar Manzano, 16, was confined.
In Isabela, Wyron Aquino was pinned by a tractor and delivery truck along the highway in Barangay Upi, Gamu. Initial reports showed Mariano’s motorcycle was rear-ended by the truck and hit by the tractor while making a U-turn.
