Truck hits tricycle; 1 dead, 5 hurt

TUGUEGARAO, Cagayan  , Philippines  —  A woman died while five of her relatives were injured when their tricycle collided with a  truck along the highway in Barangay Dadda in this city on Tuesday.

Melinda Balubal, 55, died while being treated in a hospital where Sotero, 60, and Ceferina, 56, both surnamed Siringan; Nico Baggay, 63; Martin Mallonga, 62, and Juana Balubal, 76, were also taken for treatment.

The truck driver, Alejandro Galam, 30, surrendered.
