4 slain in shootings

MANILA, Philippines — Four persons were gunned down in Laguna and Nueva Vizcaya on Tuesday.

Construction worker Jomari Tagle was playing basketball with his friends in Barangay United Bayanihan, San Pedro when an unidentified man arrived and opened fire.

Joseph Agravante and his fiancée Edeliza May Manuel, both 25, were allegedly shot by Police Officer 2 Gerwin Boze, who barged into Manuel’s house in Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya.

Boze was slain in an alleged shootout with responding policemen.

Initial investigation showed Boze was a spurned suitor of Agravante’s sister. – Raymund Catindig,  Ed Amoroso, Emmanuel Tupas
