2 hurt as SUV crashes into BGC store

MANILA, Philippines - Two persons were hurt after a sports utility vehicle crashed into a 7-Eleven convenience store in the Bonifacio Global City Thursday.

A report reaching the Southern Police District (SPD) said the gray Toyota Rav 4 with conduction sticker YR9797 crashed into the convenience store at about 11:02 a.m. located at the ground floor of the ACCRA Law building at the corner of 2nd Avenue and 30th Street.

Police identified the driver of the SUV as Danilo Custusa, a resident of Barangay Ususan. He is now under police custody.

Those hurt were identified as Carl Wyn Daytia and Annabel Solomon. Police said Daytia and Solomon were inside the convenience store.

Daytia and Solomon were rushed to the nearby St. Luke’s Hospital for emergency treatment. According to the Bonifacio Estate Corporation Services, they are now in stable condition.

“The victims have been immediately attended to and were brought to a nearby hospital. They are reported to be in stable condition. The Taguig Traffic Bureau is currently investigating the incident and exact causes,” the Bonifacio Estate Corporation Services (BECS) said.

“We would like to assure the public that safety is our topmost concern and we shall extend all assistance to the Taguig authorities,” the BECS added.
