Abellana HS, Mandaluyong ES at UB namayagpag sa Milo Little Olympics

CAGAYAN DE ORO, Philippines – Nagtapos na ang pinakahuling regional leg sa Mindanao kasabay ng pagtatapos ng 29th season ng 2016 MILO Little Olympics.

Humigit-kumulang sa 20,000 student athletes sa buong bansa ang nakipaglaban para sa kara-ngalan sa kani-kanilang mga home courts sa North at Central Luzon, NCR at South Luzon, Visayas at sa Mindanao.

Kabilang sa mga baguhan at datihang kampeon sa nasabing prestihiyosong interschool competition na nagkampeon ay ang Abellana National High School ng Visayas, Mandaluyong Elementary School ng NCR-South Luzon at University of Baguio-LES ng North at Central Luzon.

Sumabak ang mga atleta sa 15 sports events na kinabibilangan ng athletics, badminton, basketball, football, gymnastics, lawn tennis, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, chess, sepak takraw, scrabble, karatedo at arnis.

Nagkampeon ang Tangub City CS at Corpus Christi sa Mindanao.

Bumandera ang Tangub City CS sa Mindanao elementary division mula sa kanilang mga panalo sa girls’ athletics at boys’ swimming,

Kumolekta ang Tangub City CS ng 72 points kasunod ang Ateneo De Davao, nagbida sa football at girls’ swimming, na may 63 points at ang 2015 sixth placer na Koronadal Southern Elementary School na nanguna sa badminton at tennis events.

Naidepensa naman ng Corpus Christi School ang kanilang korona sa secondary division matapos mamuno sa girls’ arnis, girls’ badminton, football, gymnastics at boys’ tennis para makaipon ng 139 points kasunod ang Zamboanga del Sur Sports Academy (117 points) at Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (89.5 points).

Ang University of San Carlos ang nagdomina sa Visayas leg makaraang manguna sa elementary at secondary divisions.
