Paulo Avelino denies rumors of romance with Bea Alonzo

Chuck Smith - Philstar.com
MANILA, Philippines – Paulo Avelino vehemently denied rumors linking him to former co-star Bea Alonzo.

During the thanksgiving press conference for the ABS-CBN soap opera “Bridges of Love” on Thursday, the actor was asked by members of press about rumors that he and Bea are dating. The two worked together in the 2014 soap opera “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon.”

This comes amid Bea’s previous admission that she and boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo are experiencing a rough patch in their relationship.

But Paulo said he and Bea are just friends.

“Nagkataon lang na parang nagkita sa labas, may mga kasama. Tapos, ayun, kumain lang” he said.

Paulo further explained: “Si Bea kasi, sobrang bihirang lumabas. So kapag lumabas siya, kailangan mo ring lumabas kasi mabibilangy mo lang sa daliri mo kung ilang beses siya lalabas sa isang taon.”

Further asked if there is truth to the rumors linking him with Bea, he said: “Hindi. Wala, wala.”

The 27-year-old said he’s focusing on his work for now. Paulo said he’ll possibly work on two movies after “Bridges of Love.”

“Medyo marami rin akong gustong gawin para sa sarili ko this year. Sana magawa ko,” he said.

Paulo was previously in a relationship with actress KC Concepcion.

Meanwhile, it is speculated that Bea and Zanjoe have patched things up after photos from their show in London surfaced online.
