MYX MO! a big sing-along hit
MANILA, Philippines - MYX recently brought together the best and the brightest in the Pinoy music scene at MYX MO! 2014.
This year, the Big Dome turned into one big sing-along party as the country’s top artists performed songs from an all hits playlist with matching lyrics boards made available for everyone to sing to their heart’s content.
The line-up which included Rico Blanco, Angeline Quinto, Christian Bautista, Erik Santos, Jonalyn Viray, Jovit Baldivino, Klarisse de Guzman, Morissette Amon, Luigi D’ Avola, Jay-R, Mica, Q-York, Julie Anne San Jose, KZ Tandingan, Enchong Dee, Yeng Constantino, Nikki Gil, Thyro & Yumi, Ron Henley, Loonie, RJAY, Sam Concepcion, Gary Valenciano, Gab Valenciano, Karylle and Kyla urged the crowd to sing with them.
Meanwhile, OPM bands Banda ni Kleggy, Callalily, Chicosci, Gracenote, Kamikazee, Rocksteddy, Salbakuta, Save Me Hollywood, Moonstar 88, Sponge Cola, Legit Misfitz and Silent Sanctuary made the crowd go wild as they performed their hits.
During the show, Rico sang his hits Posible and Liwanang sa Dilim, as Gary V pumped up the crowd’s energy with one of his greatest singles, Di Bale Na Lang.
“We could feel the energy from the crowd. Super Masaya,” Mica and Q-York expressed when asked about how they felt performing to this year’s MYX MO! audience.
The artists also thanked MYX for inviting them to perform in one of the country’s most-anticipated concerts. “We’re glad to show our support to the Filipino music industry,” said Philippine All Stars on their second time on the MYX MO! stage. Yeng Constantino, a MYX MO! regular, revealed that this year was her seventh performance for the annual event.
MYX VJs Nikki and Luigi also showcased their singing ability while love was felt in the air when newlyweds Karylle and Sponge Cola vocalist Yael Yuzon performed together.
Enchong also sang his singles Seloso and Chinito Problems which made the girls scream with excitement.
MYX and its fans took this chance to give back as proceeds of the concert will be used to rehabilitate one of the schools that was severely affected by Typhoon Yolanda last year.
Osmeña Elementary School, located in Samar will be the beneficiary of this year’s MYX MO! event. Aside from rehabilitation, the proceeds will also be used to purchase books and other reading materials for the Osmeña Elementary School students.
