Sexy Talk with Mikael & Andrea

We see him every night on the GMA newscast Saksi eating and eating different foods from around the world and yet Mikael Daez doesn’t seem to gain weight. How does he do it?

“That’s the question people ask me every day,” laughed Mikael (who is an occasional columnist [Fully Loaded] for this section). “Yes, I admit that I eat anything but I have bawi days when I eat healthy…good carbs, high protein, moderate amounts of fat. And I work out a lot.”

No wonder Mikael has remained fit, proud of his body which he shows to advantage in Ang Lihim ni Annasandra, the GMA drama-fantasy series with his co-star Andrea Torres as the alluring but street-smart palengke vendor, a loving daughter whose only wish is to provide the needs of her parents. Mikael plays William Benitez, a rich and handsome man who works as a marketing department head for their family business (a surgicenter).

In the series (their third team-up after Sana Ay Ikaw Na Nga and With a Smile), William eventually falls for Annasandra without knowing her secret. In real life, they keep no secrets from each other. They claim to be “only friends.”

Mikael has been linked by persistent rumors to Miss World Megan Young (who will relinquish her crown on Dec. 15 in London where 2014 Valerie Weigmann is predicted [keep your fingers crossed] to keep the title). However, Megan has kept mum about it because, according to reports, she’s not supposed to reveal the truth about her love life until after her reign is over.

Asked what the real score is between him and Megan, and between him and Andrea, Mikael was evasive.

“Megan and I are good,” he said, “the same way Andrea and I are great as well. I’m friends with both but I’m closer to one of them, hahahaha…”

“For me, it’s more about the attitude. When you’re at peace with yourself, that aura and confidence, it shows with the way you carry yourself. There’s a certain glow that catches people’s attention. That is sexy to me.”

“Right after a nice long, hot shower.”

“My bust and my butt, hahahaha!”

What part of a man’s body do you consider sexiest?

“Arms. And, of course, expressive eyes!”

“Every month I buy a pair of lingerie. Even if I’m just in T-shirt and jeans, I make sure to always wear beautiful underwear.”

What is sexy to you?

“Sexy to me is passion. When someone is passionate about something I think I can perceive that as sexy.”

When do you feel sexy?

“I feel sexy when I’m able to do the things I want or do the things I’m passionate about. Like traveling…being in the beach… I think that’s, you know, just making the most out of life and that’s sexy.”

What part of your body do you consider sexiest?

“My jaw, I guess. Because everybody notices it…in good ways and bad ways and whatever other ways they want to think about it.” 

When did you lose your innocence?

 “When I was younger…hahahahaha!”

To a younger woman, older woman, or a woman your age?

“Woman my age. I have never really dated anyone out of my age range.”

Sexiest movie?

“For some reason, it’s a pretty bad movie called Honey but Jessica Alba was in it and she was just so hot.”

Sexiest musical instrument?

“Guitar and violin. Actually any girl who can play an instrument is sexy.”

Sexiest song?

“I don’t know. I really like the XX. It’s not sexy but I mean, I would kiss a girl to any of those songs.”

“I am not sure. Ismol Family? Hahahaha! Because I’m always wearing tight shorts and tight shirts!”

“Ice cream or chocolate.”

“Jaguar F type or a Ferrari.”

 “Right now, I’m using Chanel Allure Sport.”
