Carla Abellana denies rumored breakup with Geoff Eigenmann

MANILA, Philippines - Carla Abellana dispelled reports that she and boyfriend Geoff Eigenmann have  broken up.

 

This is after the Kapuso star admitted in a previous interview that her relationship with the 29-year-old actor is undergoing some trials.

 

The actress also did not mention Geoff during her acceptance speech when she won the best actress for her role in "My Husband's Lover" at the 5th Golden Screen TV Awards on Friday, March 23.

 

"Geoff has been part of my life, my career since the beginning. Kahit hindi ko man siya nabanggit, alam niyang part siya nito, part siya ng success ko," Carla said at the sidelines of the awarding ceremony at the Teatrino in Greenhills, San Juan City.

"Hindi po. Normal lang naman na magkaroon kayo ng problema sa isang relationship, di ba? Normal lang naman na may pagdadaanan kayo," Carla said when asked if she and Geoff have ended their relationship.

 

She added, "Okay naman, okay naman kami. Syempre may mga kailangan ayusin at plantsahin, pero nakakaraos every day."

 

The 27-year-old actress also denied reports that Kylie Padilla, Geoff's onscreen partner in the defunct GMA-7 show "Adarna," caused the problem in her relationship with the Kapuso actor.

 

"Kung nasa, let's say there are ten things na we are dealing with, that's not even in the list, syempre. Wala yun," she said.

 

In a television interview, without mentioning anyone in particular, Aljur Abrenica, Kylie's boyfriend, ranted about someone's lack of respect and boundaries.

Many believed the "Kambal Sirena" star was referring to Geoff.

 

But Carla believes "there's really no truth" to the rumors about Geoff and Kylie.

 

"I really honestly don't know the side of Aljur. I didn't see his interview or anything. But ako, honesty, being the girlfriend of Geoff Eigenmann and knowing him for the past four, five years, alam ko deep in my heart na walang katotohanan kung ano man yung iniisip ng iba o kung ano yung lumalabas," she explained.

 

Carla further said, "The perfect person to ask about it, director nila, P.A. nila, make-up artist, kung sino yung nakakasama nila sa trabaho at nakakasama nila every day."
