Anne to Vhong: ‘Whatever happens, we’re here for you’

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Anne Curtis says she’s happy that her friend and “It’s Showtime” co-host Vhong Navarro is slowly getting better.

This was after Vhong was beaten up by a group of men together led by Cedric Lee, after they allegedly caught him attempting to rape Deneice Cornejo.

In an interview with a news website, Anne said: “I’m happy talaga na he’s safe and I’m happy that he’s getting through this. Alam mo ‘yon, syempre medyo mahirap para sa isang tao na pagdaanan ‘yon.”

“Syempre mato-traumatize ka, so I’m happy that, you know, he’s getting through it and he’s being strong,” she added.

The Kapamilya actress was also asked how Vhong treats a girl, since they’re close both on and off the camera.

“Alam ‘nyo naman lahat. Kung paano siya on screen, gano’n din siya sa akin off screen,” she replied. “Sobrang bait po niya. Sobrang bait.”

“For me he’s always treated me well, he’s a gentleman to me. So I don’t have anything bad to say about Vhong,” she added.

Anne then sent a message to Vhong: “Vhong whatever happens, we’re here for you. No matter what, alam mo ‘yan.”
