Cebuano booters shine in Negros Occidental
CEBU, Philippines — Two Cebuano football clubs dominated their respective tournaments they participated over the weekend in Negros Occidental.
KN Ferraren scored a twinkill and a runner-up trophy in the Sagay City Freedom Cup 2017.
KN Ferraren of Engineer Nilo Ferraren won the men’s 38-above with a 4-0 triumph over Escalante City. They also snared the boys 12 title with a thrilling 4-3 win over Victoria City. Justin Soco powered the KN Ferraren boys with his winning goal.
KN Ferraren failed to nab their third title when they faltered against Victoria City in the mixed under-10 finals, 1-0.
Meanwhile, Don Bosco Technological College ruled the men’s open division of the San Carlos City Invitationals after a 4-3 victory over San Carlos City selection.
DBTC just came from Clarkfield Pampanga after its campaign in the Pilipinas Cup, but its players never complained and push themselves to the limit ending the finals at a scoreless draw on the regulation period before they prevailed in the penalty shootout. (FREEMAN)
