7th St. Ignatius Run slated July 23

CEBU, Philippines – Around 2,000 runners are expected to participate in the seventh edition of Sacred Heart School- Ateneo de Cebu’s ‘St. Ignatius Run’ set on July 23 at the SM City Cebu.

“This year we have a new race course, new venue, and bigger prizes. We want this to be a fun family affair for the students, kids and to all participating runners,’ said SHS-AdC Batch’92 president Erickson Ong during a press conference yesterday at the Casino Espanyol.

The race which features 1-kilometer, 3K, 6K, 12K, and 21K categories, is a fundraising event for the benefit of SHS-AdC’s Blue Plate project and Batch 92’s scholarship program.

Over P50,000 cash prizes and medals are at stake for the winners.

Registration begins this Saturday. Entry fee is pegged at P450 for 1K and 3K, P550 for the 6K, P650 for the 12K and P750 for the 21K.

Registration sites are Loalde in SM City Cebu, SM Seaside City and Ayala Center Cebu, RUNNR and SHS-AdC alumni office. One may also register online at www.race.ph.
