Ormoc tankers top 4th SHS-Ateneo swimfest
CEBU, Philippines - The visiting Ormoc Kingfisher tankers dominated the 4th Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Invitational Swim Meet the other day at the SHS-AdC in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.
Ormoc Kingfishers garnered 3,745 points to beat host team SHS-AdC with 3,620, while Narwhal Swim Team wound up third with 2,213 points.
The fourth to top 10th placers were Sta. Fe Aqua Sharks (1,768), Tri-Bohol (1,682), Caraga Dolphins (1,612), University of San Carlos Warriors (1,478), CIE-Tacloban(1,174), KCStars-Kidapawan(1,137), and Maria Montessori International School (916).
SHS-Ateneo’s Johan Matthew Tubesa and Lorraine Hann reigned supreme in the 15-under class.
Multi-titled Psalm Daniel Aquino, for his part, claimed the 13-14 title, while Mike Gabriel Dela Cerna lorded over the 9-10 age group.
Mindanao swimmers stole part of the limelight as KC Stars’ Ezyndro Warain of Kidapawan and Alexandra Nikolai Bonite of Surigao topped the boys 8-under and girls 13-14 divisions, respectively.
Also, Khrustian Tan of Panabo City and Juliana Marien Villanueva of Davao City ruled the 11-12 class. (FREEMAN)
