Yaw-Yan clinic registration starts

CEBU, Philippines – The registration for annual summer clinic of Yaw-Yan Ardigma Martial Arts Federation, Inc. begins today at the Yaw-Yan Headquarters situated at the 4th floor of Coast Pacific Downtown Center just across the UC-Main campus along Sanciangko Street, this city.

"This is the time of the year for students who are on vacation to learn martial arts and self defense," said Yaw-Yan Ardigma Cebu CEO and Founder Master Benigno 'Ekin' Caniga. "Aside from learning self defense, Yaw-Yan is also a good means of getting fit and having a healthier lifestyle."

Yaw-Yan boasts of a spacious, comfortable and above all, conducive venue for the month-long training camp that will kick off on April 6.

Yaw-Yan is derived from the two syllables of words “Sayaw ng Kamatayan” or “Dance of Death”. It is an authentic Filipino martial arts which was first introduced to the public in 1972 by its originator Grandmaster Napoleon “Nap” A. Fernandez.

Yaw-Yan teaches various techniques to use every part of the body as weapon including the fist, forearm, elbow, knee , shin, calf and head. They also teach proper takedown and ground fighting techniques that is effective in the ring as it is in the streets.

The other courses offered include arnis, boxing fitness, Yaw-Yan combat for self-defense, and Yaw-Yan ArDigma system.
