Over 500 runners sign up for Mayor’s Cup Run

CEBU, Philippines -  More than 500 fitness buffs have already signed up for this year’s edition of Mayor’s Cup Run slated on May 4, starting and ending at the Parkmall Mandaue City.

Organized by Mandaue City Sports Commission in cooperation with Mandaue Runners Club, the annual running event features 21K, 15K and 7K categories.

Cash prizes, trophies and medals are at stake for the top finishers in each category.

“We are expecting 800 or more participants in this event” said race organizer Hector Cuizon.

Entry fee is pegged at P300 for the 7K, P350 for 15K and and P500 for the 21K division inclusive of singlet, race bib and snacks.

Entry forms are available at Parkmall Mandaue city, Cebu City Sports Complex, RUNNR at Ayala Center Cebu and A Runner’s Circle. Deadline for registration is on May 2. (FREEMAN)
