Marriage is no fairy tale in ‘Wagas’

CEBU, Philippines - Kapuso actors Kris Bernal and Hiro Peralta discover that true love is not made of fairy tales in tonight’s episode of “Wagas.”

Kris plays the character of Fe, who at a young age of three has been diagnosed with polio. Her condition affected the way she walks that people would call her “pilantod.” Unfazed by how others mock her, Fe grew up a confident woman.

In high school, Fe meets Eli (Hiro), a handsome and kind-hearted guy. Eli is the only person who does not tease her. Instead of judging her, Eli admires Fe’s determination and soon he falls in love with her. Fe will get pregnant and the two will eventually elope.

To raise a family, the couple has to work hard. Amid her condition, Fe helps Eli and gets lucky in business. From selling taho, they were able to manufacture soya products. But as their business prospers, their relationship will be tested when Eli gets involved with another woman.

Years passed and Eli would realize his mistake. He asks Fe’s forgiveness and proves to his wife that he badly wants to make their family whole again. In the end, Fe forgives Eli, and gives their relationship a second chance.
