Robinsons Malls joins P2P bus service

MANILA, Philippines – Robinsons Malls, in partnership with HM Transport, has extended support to the Department of Transportation and Communications’ new commuter bus – the Premium Point-to-Point (P2P) Bus Service – that provides the riding public a more relaxed commuting experience and shorter travel time.

“Robinsons Malls teams up with HM Transport to provide our mall customers and the riding public with premium point-to-point bus service is another testament to Robinsons Land’s commitment to uplift the quality of life of the Filipinos,” said Darwin S. Renolayan, Robinsons Galleria Ortigas regional operations manager.

The premium P2P buses will be equipped with modern features such as global positioning system devices, on-board closed-circuit television cameras, automatic fare collection system, and free WiFi.  Premium P2P buses shall use clean alternative fuels and will be compliant with Euro IV emissions standards.

The bus units will also be PWD-friendly as these are required to have low entry, ranging 0.28 to 0.38 meters from road level, and space for one passenger with wheelchair and a foldable or retractable ramp for easy access.

Areas for off-street loading and unloading are properly designated to avoid road obstruction and ensure smooth traffic flow. To prevent on-street competition among buses, bus drivers are paid a fixed salary and benefits with no incentives for ridership.

DOTC and LTFRB officials led the launch of the Premium P2P Bus Service from Ortigas-Makati with partners from Robinsons Malls and HM Transport. The Ortigas-Makati route will be from Mondays- Fridays (except holidays and weekends), 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. while Makati-Ortigas route will be from Mondays-Fridays (except holidays and weekends), 10:30 a.m. – 8:15 p.m. with loading points located at the south corner of EDSA Shrine and Park Square Makati respectively.
