MANILA, Philippines - Alert Level 3 was raised in Yemen due to threats posed by Houthi rebels in the capital city Sana'a and attacks by separatists and Al Qaeda members in the Arabian Peninsula, the Department of Foreign Affairs announced on Tuesday.

The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh has sent a Crisis Management Team in Yemen to assist in the repatriation of Filipinos in the area.

The Department of Labor and Employment raises Alert Level 3 in areas or countries with violent disturbances and imposes absolute deployment ban.
